Prayer plants have fun unique patterned leaves in multiple colors. They are given their name because the leaves will fold up at night resembling praying hands.
Indoor Care:
They prefer low light and high humidity areas. Any direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn. Also keep away from cold drafts or sources of air flow such as a vent or fan.
Watering is very important. They do not like to dry out or be over watered. So always check the soil to see how moist it is. Once it starts to dry out it is time to water it again. Tap water is fine, but it is best if it is at room temperature. They do not like cold water. They love humidity so misting or keeping in a bathroom is ideal.
Fertilize every 2 weeks from late spring to early fall with a water-soluble indoor fertilizer such as Evolve Indoor Fertilizer.
Plant in a pot with drainage holes using a light indoor soilless mix containing perlite. They like to be a bit root bound so only transplant into a larger pot when the roots start growing out of the drainage holes.
